Love Bastian

This is a bit of a ‘pinch me’ moment as having my own little store is something I’ve always dreamed of. 

I’m known most recently for playing series regular, Becky Clarke in BBC Doctors and probably best known for playing Becca Dean in the Channel 4's Hollyoaks and PC Sally Armstrong in ITV drama series The Bill. I’ve gone on to play leading guest roles in some of the UK’s best loved TV shows including Holby City, Death in Paradise and Jonathan Creek and ‘waltzed’ my way into the Strictly Come Dancing semifinal. 

If I wind the clocks back a little further I’d love to introduce you to ten year old Me... who dreamed of becoming an actress one day. To fund this endeavour, I cleared out people’s garages and sold their treasures at local car boot sales to make enough money to pay for audition train travel and expenses. 

To build on my little enterprise, I knotted friendship bracelets, made earrings and wrapped silks in people’s hair and loved covering my stand with all the colours of the rainbow.

It seems whenever I go through  a period of change, my mind longs for the simplicity and beauty of these transactions.

As I was preparing to get married, I started up Love Bastian - originally as a pet accessory store - hand making collars and leads as my tiny hands once made friendship bracelets.

And now as a new mother in lockdown, my business is reborn - with less time to hand make products and a strong desire to find clothes to make people feel happy in their skin, I have curated my first clothes line. Floaty, fun, optimistic colours and prints for the Spring/Summer - also designed with celebrating our postpartum bodies in mind! 

Boho dresses, BBQ dresses... ‘I finally get to go to that bloody wedding that the poor couple have had to keep postponing’ dresses... oh and lots of dungarees and over sized T’s.
